First of all, let’s start with the new trail names. First, Colin got his trail name, “Water bug” because he could never stand still. Mr. Newsome got his name “The Rock” because he was listening to his iPod/MP3 player during lunch. Mr. Koontz’s name is “Caboose” for being the one who was always in the back. Finally, Mr. Svacha got his name “Shutterbug” for taking one too many pictures.

To start off we met at the church at an early 6:30 am in the morning (I myself was half asleep.) We departed at 7:00 am to hit the trail. The beginning off the trek was fairly easy with little hills. The weather was nice with no rain (thank goodness). We braked for lunch around 11:30 (Mr. Newsome was listening to his iPod.) The last half of the trail was much harder than the first with many steep hills. Towards the end of the trip, we got a really nice view of the waterfalls and stopped to take (a lot) of pictures. When we got back to the cars we were exhausted, but before heading home, we stopped and had ice cream. It was a really good trip, but we were all ready to have a nap and a shower by the end.
